Alkaline Diet Recipe #1: Goddess of Greens – Updated

Alkaline Diet Recipe #1: Goddess of Greens

This is my family’s favorite Green Smoothie. It is our start to every morning and we make extra so we can sip it throughout the morning. My daughter Amélie drinks this on her way to school.

1 avocado
3 tablespoon Spectrum flax seed oil with Pomegranate (find in Whole Body at Whole Food Markets)
1 large English cucumber no need to peel or 1 juicy cucumbers – peeled
2 lemons or limes, peeled and quartered
½” chunk fresh ginger
3 large kale leaves or other green leaves of your choice like spinach or Romaine
1 stalk of celery
1 teaspoon greens powder (optional)
1 tablespoon liquid chlorophyll (optional)
1 liter alkaline water
Celtic salt
10 ice cubes

Put all ingredients except the ice cubes into the blender and blend for a 60 seconds or until the liquid is fully smooth. Add the ice cubes and blend again for approx 30 seconds. Pour and enjoy.

    Dear Fiona,
I live in Pakistan. We don’t have things such as Green Dragon, liquid chlorophyl , etc …. what should i do?

HI Aisha, I am so sorry I did not get this message sent to me and am now only just seeing it.  When you don’t have the ingredients, like the supplements, the best thing you can do is just access the main vegetables.  My rule is, always put in an oil – you can use coconut, olive oil, flax seed oil etc.  An avocado will make is thick so if you don’t have one it will simple be runnier, and then you can add any green leaf like kale, spinach, lettuce, fresh ginger or dried, and something citrus like lemon, lime or even grapefruit.  Can you get hold of cucumbers? – Can you access any of those other veggies?.  Even if you cannot access the supplements, the veggies as a smoothie will still make it an amazing drink.  Let me know what you have and lets create something delicious!
    Outstanding Day to YOU
